Essay: Imagine that you are struggling to learn a concept in math. Provide brief descriptions of how you would address the first two components of self-regulation to work towards improving your learning.
Student Answer: I would plan out how and when I would ask for help, then I would try to understand the concept using concepts I already know, if that doesn’t work then I would ask my parents to explain it to me in further description. Then I would practice until I understood it and could do it on my own.
I would then monitor my work and see how well I am doing in this concept, if I was rather good, then I would just continue my work regularly, but if I was still not getting it I would practice it more than my work in class.
