Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a friend who keeps making plans with you and then cancelling at the last minute.
Student Answer:  I know you can be busy, and plans change, but I have a life too, and you need to either commit to the plan or tell me before the last minute you can’t participate.
Essay:  When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
Student Answer:  So people hear your ideas and don’t just ignore you. Also so you won’t just be walked all over and people get whatever they want from you and you don’t say anything about it.
