Student Answer:  I know that your disappointed in me because my homework was possibly turned in late but I turned it in on the due date, could we make a compromise somehow so it doesn’t effect my grade?
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a friend who keeps making plans with you and then cancelling at the last minute.
Student Answer:  Could you please tell me why we make plans and then they get cancelled, it hurts my feelings that we don’t get to hangout, but I understand you may get busy but please don’t make other plans when we have plans.
Essay:  When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
Student Answer:  You should still communicate assertively will always get you further than just yelling p, so even if you don’t get your way things may get settled in a more positive manner.
