Student Answer:  I know you may think I turned this homework in late but I am sure I turned it in on time. I wouldn’t lie or be untruthful about not turning in my homework. Next time I will make sure it is clear that I turn it in on time.
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a friend who keeps making plans with you and then cancelling at the last minute.
Student Answer:  I know you have a busy schedule and you can’t make time for everything but if you make plans with me I would appreciate it if you didn’t cancel. It’s hard for me when we make plans and then you can’t come last minute. Next time we hang out can you try and not cancel.
Essay:  When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
