Student Answer:  It makes a lot of sense that life can get busy. It makes me sad that your promise to hangout with me has been broken quite a few times because of the business. I respect our friendship and enjoy of time to hangout, so please let me know if you want to reschedule.
Essay:  When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
Student Answer:  Being assertive is a way to communicate your needs, wants, personal boundaries, etc. Others may have different needs, wants, personal boundaries, etc. that may even go against your own. We learn however to respect others needs, wants, personal boundaries, etc. while doing what we can to not compromise our own.
