Student Answer:  Excuse me miss, I did not turn my homework in late. I understand you have a lot of papers to grade and a lot to do but I am positive I did turn my homework in on time, how about I help you look for it in your papers.
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a friend who keeps making plans with you and then cancelling at the last minute.
Student Answer:  Friend, I dislike the way you make plans with me and then you cancel them at the last second. I’ve learned not to get my hopes up with you, if you could please stop I would be ever so great full. I understand you might of already had an event on the day we had our plans and completely forgot about it, but you do it repeatedly that it’s no longer an excuse you can use.
Essay:  When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
Student Answer:  So you can respect others, and you can get the other person to understand our point of view.
