Question/AnswerPoints
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a teacher who falsely accused you of turning in your homework late.
Student Answer:  I know I turned it in on time. You had the due date as yesterday and I turned it in on the day it was assigned. So I would like to know how you figure I didn't turn my work in on time.
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a friend who keeps making plans with you and then cancelling at the last minute.
Student Answer:  Look I know you have other things to do. But you originally made plans with me. It's okay but I just feel left out.
Essay:  When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
Student Answer:  To get your point across without being rude. To speak to a person about a problem without getting mad.
