Individual Essay Grading For: Assertiveness Knowledge
Question/AnswerPoints
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a teacher who falsely accused you of turning in your homework late.
Student Answer:  I understand your frustration, but accusing me when I know I did not turn in my homework late is uncalled for.
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a friend who keeps making plans with you and then cancelling at the last minute.
Student Answer:  I completely get if you are busy, but please don't make plans with me if you are just going to cancel when you aren't busy at all. We can make plans weeks ahead of time on a day we both don't have anything planned so it is not stressful on both sides of the rope.
Essay:  When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
Student Answer:  Sometimes people learn from others and how they act by arugments. Being assertive can help build relationships.
