Student Answer:  I might be able to understand why you think I turned in my work late. But, I turned in my work on time, and I would appreciate it if you looked again to make sure I didn't turn it in on time.

Student Answer:  I understand that you might have other things going on. But, cancelling plans very inconvenient for me, and it also hurts me that you keep cancelling last minute.
Essay:  When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
Student Answer:  Because you might not get your way, it will still be easier for both parties to be assertive, than to argue.
