Question/AnswerPoints
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a teacher who falsely accused you of turning in your homework late.
Student Answer:  When I was younger my teacher gave out homework on a Monday and she said that it was going to be done everyday at home. It was a packet, and she said the whole packet had to be turned in on Friday. I turned it in on Friday and while she was grading them on Friday she called me up to her and told me where my homework was, I told her I turned it in and she did not believe me. The following Monday she found out that my packet was mixed in with another persons packet. She told me that she found it and apologized. I went home and felt relieved.
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a friend who keeps making plans with you and then cancelling at the last minute.
Student Answer:  My friend loves going to places with people from school or people from her neighborhood. She ended up wanting to go to the water park over summer break. She invited me and said it was going to be on the weekend when her parents are able to take her. She told me to bring a lot of things but I told her it was to pricey, I also said that if shes basically hosting it she should bring everything. The next day it was a Friday and she said to me that she must cancel it because her parents said no. Another story is that when we were younger she wanted me and he friends to have a trip to flagstaff with everyone's parents my parents agreed as long as they are able to come, but my friend wanted to rent a cabin. My uncle lives in Flagstaff but my mom told me that to many people can fit his house and only my family will be staying if we go. I ended up telling her about my uncle and that if we go we are going to stay there by we I mean my family, she said that she wanted all of us to stay in a cabin, but I disagreed with her because if we do stay in a cabin all the parents must chip in and I did not like the fact that I was going to be sleeping in cabin with people other than my family. She ignored me and started making a whole list of plans for Flagstaff. But she cancelled them because her parents said no.
