I would self-reflect and identify any negative self-talk. Being aware of why we feel that we cannot succeed is important because we can either switch it around and encourage ourselves or we could comfort ourselves and understand that even if something is hard, there could always be a game plan to help ourselves out.
2. I could focus on something greater than my emotions by seeing everything that I've accomplished in the past. The brain can trick you and sometimes how we feel about ourselves isn't true, so looking at facts could help us see just how capable we are.
3. If I'm feeling very discouraged, I would like to talk about it with a trusted friend or family member and let them into my problem so that I could create a support system. They could encourage me or just listen to me and both would be helpful. |
