I understand if you have priorities but, getting my hopes up by planning something with me, for me to then clear out the rest of my day to do something with you then I get stuck at home doing nothing because you decided last minute that it just wasn't gonna work out, do you realize how that makes me feel like I'm running in a circle with you? |

Student Answer: Assertive communication may not get you everything you want, but it does give you some things you want. Assertiveness is also a good way to set boundaries with people who may not get the message passively. |
