How can we come up with a solution in finding it or recovering credit for it?
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a friend who keeps making plans with you and then cancelling at the last minute.
Student Answer:  Kate, I enjoy spending time with you and appreciate your friendship. It is important to me that we have this time together while valuing each others time and commitment to meeting as planned. What ideas do you have in assuring we can continue to enjoy time together?
Essay:  When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
Student Answer:  You should continue to communicate assertively as it one, provides clarity of expectations and understanding and two sets boundaries that meet personal values and needs while respecting all parties.
