Individual Essay Grading For: Activity 10: Assess Your Self-Regulation
Question/AnswerPoints
Essay:  Imagine that you are struggling to learn a concept in math. Provide brief descriptions of how you would address the first two components of self-regulation to work towards improving your learning.
Student Answer:  The first two components of self-regulation are planning and monitoring. If you were struggling to learn a concept in math, you would first have to plan what you are going to do to improve. You decide that you are going to break up the concept into little sections. You try to learn one section in a certain amount of time. You make sure to take notes and pay attention in class. To monitor your plan, you make a chart. You write in your understanding at the start, and then you add in your understanding as you learn the little sections. If you improve, you are right on track! If you are more confused, you should look for resources or ask your teachers or parents. You keep track of your understanding after you complete every lesson.
