Individual Essay Grading For: Activity 10: Assessing Your Self-Regulation
Question/AnswerPoints
Essay:  Imagine that you are struggling to learn a concept in math. Provide brief descriptions of how you would address the first two components of self-regulation to work towards improving your learning.
Student Answer:  (plan, monitor, adjust, reflect) First I would schedule a good time and day(s) of the week to study the concept. This place would have to be free of distractions but full of resources that are necessary in order to help me proactively gain a better understanding and knowledge of the concept I'm struggling with. This plan could look like Mondays at 5:00 where I can go and study at my local library which provides electronic devices, educational/mathematical books, and tools like protractors, rulers, pencils, erasers, scissors, glue, tape etc. On Mondays, I do not have any out of school activities nor planes typically making it the perfect time. Once I have all this set and scheduled I will monitor my plans to see how well they have been working out and f they haven't I can adjust as needed like possibly changing the location of where I study because there could be a reading club hosted on Mondays at that library and I just can't focus with their conversations constantly overlapping my work and distracting me.
