Essay: Write a 3-part assertive statement to a friend who keeps making plans with you and then cancelling at the last minute. Student Answer: I get how it might be hard for you to commit to something but always canceling really hurts me. Essay: When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons. Student Answer: You should still choose to be assertive even when you don't get everything because it will show you care. You could tell your friend straight up how her canceling plans hurts you but if they still cancel at least you'll know you tried to express yourself. Or if you tell your teacher about how you really did turn in your homework but they cotinue to say you didn't youll have records of you telling them how you did it. |
