Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a friend who keeps making plans with you and then cancelling at the last minute.
Student Answer:  Making plans and suddenly canceling them is hard on me. I am not sure if you are doing it to upset me; however, if you are please quit because it makes me feel like you don't care.
Essay:  When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
Student Answer:  Communicating assertiveness shows others that we are not existing to just be trampled all over. Yes, things won't and probably shouldn't completely turn out the way we want them to.
