Individual Essay Grading For: Assertiveness Knowledge Test 10.2022
Question/AnswerPoints
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a teacher who falsely accused you of turning in your homework late.
Student Answer:  I am aware it seems I have turned in my homework late, but I would appreciate it if you would let me explain why it looks that way because I know I have turned in my work on time.
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a friend who keeps making plans with you and then cancelling at the last minute.
Student Answer:  It seems that every time I try and make plans with you, you cancel on me. This hurts my feelings when you keep canceling on me and I think we need to talk about how we can come up with days to hang out that won't interfere with our personal lives.
Essay:  When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
Student Answer:  You should communicate because everyone is entitled to express their feelings and tell people how they feel. When you communicate, there is a possibility of having the person understand where you are coming from and why you feel the way you do.
