Essay: Imagine that you are struggling to learn a concept in math. Provide brief descriptions of how you would address the first two components of self-regulation to work towards improving your learning.
Student Answer: If I was struggling in math class and I needed help understanding i would ask some of my class peers if they could help me. I would first ask anyone if they understood the lesson, if they did I would ask them how they were able to understand it, as well as asking them to show me how. Then when I would understand it myself I would try to do problems on my own but still getting a little bit of support from them, trying to understand it myself. If no one in my class understand the lesson and aren’t able to help me that’s when I would go ask the teacher myself for extra support on the lesson. |
