Question/AnswerPoints
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a teacher who falsely accused you of turning in your homework late.
Student Answer:  I get that you may not see my homework at the moment, but I know I turned it in. Could you by chance look again a while later when you have time.
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a friend who keeps making plans with you and then cancelling at the last minute.
Student Answer:  I get that you may have things come up, but I would like it if you could not make multiple overlaying plans and then cancelling with me at the last minute. If you need to cancel at least give me a better notice so I can be prepared.
Essay:  When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
Student Answer:  You should still communicate assertively because you will feel better after the argument if you get your point across without blowing up at the other person.
