Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a friend who keeps making plans with you and then cancelling at the last minute.
Student Answer:  Dude, this is the 3rd time in a row this happened and it is a reoccurring issue. It upsets all of us when you don't arrive at restaurants or other places. If your busy, you can just tell us and we won't have to waste extra money, and it doesn't weaken our friendship if you are busy, it's not like you want to work during a weekend.
Essay:  When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
Student Answer:  1. It is a good social thing to practice 2. It can have a higher chance of a better outcome of what you are debating about.
