Essay: When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
Student Answer: When you communicate assertively, you don't come across as rude or aggressive to the other person, instead it creates a level of respect for being able to communicate your wants and needs all while being respectful and cordial. Another reason communicating assertively is effective is because if you are too soft and passive, people will use you and assume you are all right with it, because there was nothing ever said about it bothering you. |
