Student Answer:  I know you claimed that I turned my homework in late, but I turned it in with the rest of my classmates, I would appreciate it if you looked through all the assignments in case it was misplaced or unnamed so I receive full credit.
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a friend who keeps making plans with you and then cancelling at the last minute.
Student Answer:  You have been telling me for the last few weeks that we are going to hang out and then you bail on me. When you ditch me it makes me feel sad and hurt. Is there a time when we can talk about why you make be cancelling on me and how we can resolve this.
Essay:  When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
Student Answer:  When you are assertive others can see that you are serious about what you're talking about. Assertiveness allows others to respect your boundaries by putting them in place.
