Question/AnswerPoints
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a teacher who falsely accused you of turning in your homework late.
Student Answer:  Respectfully I have turned my homework in on time. I can prove to you if that is necessary. I won't tolerate the accusation that I have not turned my homework in.
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a friend who keeps making plans with you and then cancelling at the last minute.
Student Answer:  I would like to let you know that whenever you make plans with me and something else comes up, I'm constantly being pushed back. Personally, I don't think this is fair to me. I understand that unexpected things may come up a few times, but not every time.
Essay:  When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
Student Answer:  You should still choose to communicate assertively so that others have that piece of mind about how you feel about the situation.
