Individual Essay Grading For: Assertiveness Knowledge Test 6-12
Question/AnswerPoints
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a teacher who falsely accused you of turning in your homework late.
Student Answer:  I turned it in the day you gave it to me. You must have got it mixed up with another class, because I don't have it.
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a friend who keeps making plans with you and then cancelling at the last minute.
Student Answer:  Listen, I understand that you are busy, but if you keep canceling these plans that we are making, I will stop making plans with you. I will just go places by myself.
Essay:  When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
Student Answer:  You should always understand what the other person is saying. If you are assertive you are telling the person that you are talking to that you want them to listen to you. They might not understand what you want if you are being passive or aggressive. If you speak in an assertive tone in your voice, they will understand you more.
