Individual Essay Grading For: Assertiveness Knowledge Test (7-12)
Question/AnswerPoints
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a teacher who falsely accused you of turning in your homework late.
Student Answer:  I don't understand why you're accusing me of turning in my homework late when you know I turned it in before the deadline. The work was easy, that's why I'm frustrated because I turned in the easy work BEFORE the deadline. Don't accuse me of not turning in my homework late.
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a friend who keeps making plans with you and then cancelling at the last minute.
Student Answer:  Hey, I noticed these past few times we made plans to hangout you always cancel on me last minute I'm not sure if things just aren't working out or if something else is going on. If you don't want to follow through with the plans just let me know so I'm not left hanging. I would much rather you reach out way before hand.
Essay:  When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
Student Answer:  So you're showing respect and showing how to be polite.
