Student Answer:  Mr./Ms./Mrs. teacher, on Tuesday during lunch period. You acknowledged that the assignment was correct however you were likely distracted and forgot to give me a grade. Now, it is after the due date and it is not graded despite me turning it in on-time; Please fix.
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a friend who keeps making plans with you and then cancelling at the last minute.
Student Answer:  Hey, Bob, for the past few times that we have tried making plans to hangout after-school together, you have canceled on me last minute. This is a big problem for me because your unorganized schedule directly effects mine. Not only this, your repeated behavior directly effects our relationship by me not feeling respected and betrayed.
Essay:  When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
Student Answer:  If it does not turn out the way you want, not only is stating your opinion more productive than simply just not saying anything at all. If you don't say anything at all, you would never know if the end result be what you wanted.
