Student Answer:  ma'am, I am telling you the truth. I turned my work in just before the bell rung, for the end of the school day. You may have a very different opinion but ma'am, I can assure you that I did turn in my work on time just like everyone else.
Essay:  Write a 3-part assertive statement to a friend who keeps making plans with you and then cancelling at the last minute.
Student Answer:  Hey, I can understand that you get busy, but you can at least find out ahead of time that you'll be busy. I don't appreciate the fact that you keep making these plans and I make sure I cancel anything for that day sense we haven't seen each other, but to me its like your not putting any effort to this friendship and you respectfully your wasting my time making plans then canceling them when I can be at work or with family instead.
Essay:  When you choose to be assertive, you won't always get everything you want. With that in mind, why should you still choose to communicate assertively? Provide two reasons.
Student Answer:  You should always pick being calm and understanding in any tough conversations because when you keep a calm tone, respectful nature, and understand there side, It will make your situation 100 times more easier. If you don't speak calmly then you will escalate the problem and cause a bigger scene and can even ruin your friendship, relationship, workmanship, and employment with others. It is best to keep a open and calm mind in hard situations.
